Lisa Bownds of Reflection Ministries: Crimes Against Children, Human Trafficking

So very blessed to have Lisa Bownds of Reflection Ministries in for an interview. Lisa and Reflection Ministries has been at the forefront of human trafficking education, awareness, rescue, and ultimately restoration. The statistics are astounding. The Permian Basin is #5 in the country for sex trafficking, where you can order a child delivered to your house faster than a pizza; that is a literal quote per Lisa. There are currently over 1000 active ads locally from Craigs List to Snap Chat advertising sex. Most children start out at 3 to 6 years old, prime age is 12 to 16, and many after a life of being used an average of 6,000 times for sex, the victims often fall into a life of prostitution. Reflections works closely with the community and local law enforcement. I have worked with this organization in the past, and I can assure you it's both tragic what you learn and amazing how they have helped victims renew and heal and ultimately start a new path. We at KCRS 550 were honored to welcome them today and give them a platform. Our show aims to spread truth and information you may not be hearing elsewhere. When it comes to this horrific crime there is no way any of us can be blind to it.
