When will we understand?
American journalist and professor Mitchell Stephens says in his book "A History of News":
"It is not news that a dog bites a man, but that a man bites a dog."
By this analogy, there has been no news about climate this past week.
But climate disasters, often catastrophic, continue to occur around the world.
From California, where wildfires are still raging, come reports that the fires have claimed at least 27 lives and destroyed more than 12,300 structures.
Millions of residents in southern California have been advised to limit outdoor activities due to poor air quality amidst the devastating fires.
Forest fires are also raging in Uruguay, Kenya, Chile, and Colombia.
There continue to be heavy rains, floods, sometimes hail, often accompanied by strong winds. The affected countries include Tunisia, New Zealand, Bolivia (where 18 people died), Brazil, Malaysia, Italy, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Argentina, Spain, Iran, Malawi, Namibia, Portugal.
In Australia, storms with nearly 2 million lightning strikes are recorded.
Landslides are reported in Sochi (Russia), in Indonesia where 21 people died.
In Russia, record-high temperatures continue, especially around Lake Baikal.
In Spain, Malaga is facing a prolonged drought. So is Pakistan.
Volcanic eruptions are noted: Lewotobi in Indonesia, Sakurajima in Japan, Purace in Colombia, Fuego in Guatemala. The Nevado del Ruiz volcano in Colombia has spewed gas and ash.
Heavy snowfalls and storms are recorded in Morocco, Algeria, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mexico.
In several places in the USA, snowstorms are noted, while the southeast of the USA has been hit by rare and historic winter storms, claiming at least 10 lives.
In Kazakhstan, a bus with 17 passengers overturned due to a strong wind gust.
Lately, there have been more and more earthquakes with magnitudes of 6 and above. Thus, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Taiwan, 6.3 in Japan, and 6.1 in the Philippines.
All of this confirms the projections of AllatRa, which continuously warns that we are entering a period of intensified seismic activity as well as other extreme climatic events. Check out the videos talking about the progression of climate catastrophes in 2024 and the forecasts for 2025.
I wonder how long it will take for people to understand the severity of the climate situation and for science to realize that the energy causing global warming comes from the planet's core?
