Focus On Habits, Not Today's Result

Didn't drop a pound today?
Maybe you GAINED a pound?

And you went to the gym every day this year, have been eating right, and no alcohol....so WTF?

I've been in this mindset and you probably have too.

It can put you in the mindset to say "F*** IT, why am I trying to hard?" and binge today...sending you back to square one.

A few questions to ask yourself when this time comes.

How long have you been stuck here?....years

When was the last time you went to the gym 7 days in a row?....years

If you keep going to the gym 7 days in a row for 30 days, do you think more weight will come off or do you think you'll be stuck here forever?....more weight will come off

If you keep hitting the gym everyday and don't quit like you usually do, do you think you will eventually hit your goal?.....yes

What makes you quit?... Disappointment, temptation, excuses...all self sabotaging

So in the past gaining a pound would make you quit?....yea

But you have never gone 7 days in a row?....no

Should you focus on today's scale or the fact you showed up 7 days in a row?....JUST SHOWING UP

THATS IT

Focus on habits, not today's result.

It's like somebody who runs a marathon. They may walk, jog, or run but as long as they don't quit they will cross the finish line.
