Trump’s Crypto Task Force: Will It Make the U.S. a Crypto Hub or Just More Paperwork?

"President Trump has signed an executive order to create a task force on crypto assets. The goal is to attract crypto to the U.S., create a reserve, and increase the country’s assets.

Currently, the U.S. is not an attractive country for crypto investors due to high taxes — 20% on long-term gains and 30+% on short-term gains. In many countries, crypto taxes are 0%. Until that changes, even if you sign a paper every day, it won’t make any difference."

"While Trump’s initiative to create a crypto task force is ambitious, it may not be enough to make the U.S. a global crypto hub. High taxes remain a significant barrier for investors, and without addressing this issue, the effort could end up being just another bureaucratic exercise. To truly attract crypto, the U.S. needs to rethink its tax policies and create a more favorable environment for digital assets."
