Florida has surpassed Alaska in snowfall.

More snow fell in Florida in one day than Alaska received in an entire winter. This was the result of a powerful jet stream that brought abnormal winter weather to the southern US states.

Parts of Florida recorded up to 25cm of snow, while Anchorage, known for its cold climate, has seen well below average precipitation this winter.
