Buena Park Officers Fatally Shoot Armed Man Near Freeway

On December 10th, 2024 at approximately 1pm, two Buena Park Police officers responded to the I-5 freeway and Artesia Boulevard to assist California Highway Patrol for reports of a male adult possibly armed with a weapon walking in freeway lanes.

Officers located the male adult on Artesia Boulevard which led to an officer involved shooting. The male adult was injured, treated on scene and transported to UCI Hospital where unfortunately, he passed due to his injuries.
