The 5th Quarter

There are no easy answers to the "why?" Actually, there are no answers at all. On this side of heaven, all we get to do is move forward, understanding that by grace and grace alone are we allowed to breathe our next breath. It is what we do with what we are given charge over that is important. Live your life in such a way that if something takes that life from you, you will have been known as a giver, not a taker.
We as humans shift from selfish to unselfish and sometimes back again... life is fluid, it is not set up for the faint of heart, nor the weak of stomach. Tough times make tough souls - those tough times make or break us -- it is in the breaking that we become the strength needed by the less-than-strong.
If, at one time, we messed up, we pay for it and we drive on. We don't hold the past against ourselves anymore than we should hold it against others who have paid for their mistakes.
Find the good in each day. Seek and strive for excellence, for that is the manner in which others may guage their significance. If you loved them enough to stay, then perhaps they will find that same strength to light another's way.
Never forsake the gift of today, of this hour, and of this minute. The gift was bought and paid for on the Cross at Calvary. You are not your own, you were bought with a price that you cannot ever repay.
What you do with that gift is your business and your's alone. Let no one else steal your joy and peace. Be watchful, be aware, be cautious - Ephesians 6 (the whole damn chapter)
