Covid-19 & the Eyes

I recently had a case of Covid-19 beginning first symptoms on Dec 28. I used the nicotine patch and ivermectin and had a very easy course of it; one week later I would not have known I had had anything.

However, on January 8, I noted the sudden appearance of a very pronounced floater in my left eye. I do not have a history of floaters. This was accompanied by flashes of light I would notice when in a dark environment.

This led me - not only to my eye doctor - but to some research that was very revealing regarding Covid-19 and its potential ocular effects!
