Mother forced to give birth at the side of the road

This heartbreaking video shows a mother forced to give birth at the side of the road while her family CARRY her more than four miles to hospital. The clip shows Chodipalli Muttayamma, 24, cutting her newborn daughter's umbilical cord with two stones after she gave birth half way there. Chodipalli's hilltop village is not connected to a main road so an ambulance was not available to take her the 7km to the nearest hospital when she experienced pains. Her family have released the clip to raise awareness of the plight of pregnant women in 450 villages around her home in rural India who aren't served by roads.
