Former Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has reminded Pedro Sánchez that when it is not possible to approve the General State Budget (PGE) "it is time to dissolve" the Cortes and "nothing happens", he said, recalling that during his seven years as Prime Minister seven budgets were approved.

This was Rajoy's statement during the presentation of the book 'Parliamentary Speeches by Mariano Rajoy. President of the Government 2011-2018', which was chaired by the President of Congress, the socialist Francina Armengol, whose resignation has been demanded on numerous occasions by the spokesperson for the Popular Group, Miguel Tellado. The publication of the book is the responsibility of the Lower House, which has been compiling the parliamentary speeches of its presidents and heads of government.

According to Rajoy, during his time at the head of the Executive "there was never a lack of budgets, as in all democracies", so he pointed out to Sánchez that when this is not possible "it is time to dissolve and nothing happens". "It has always been done this way and everywhere", he added.

Ministers from the Rajoy Government were present in the room, such as his vice-president Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón, Fátima Báñez, Ana Pastor or Rafael Catalá, as well as current leaders of the party such as the general secretary, Cuca Gamarra, and the parliamentary spokesman, Miguel Tellado, in addition to Feijoo himself.
