Broiler-Type Chicks Placed in the United States Up 3 Percent

USDA releases new information on chicken farming. In the first half of January, the production of chickens for meat increased in the United States.

Report says,

"Broiler growers in the United States weekly program placed 191 million chicks for meat production during the week
ending January 18, 2025, up 3 percent from a year ago. Cumulative placements from the week ending January 4, 2025 through January 18, 2025 for the United States were 574 million. Cumulative placements were up 2 percent from the same period a year earlier."
