Michael Scotto - Tomorrow is my Waterloo #indie

A song which draws from poems I wrote as a teenager (shortly after the Battle of Waterloo). Oh, the angst of being told "we need to talk." Pimply hyperbole, but that's what being a teenager is all about!

Again another day is here
When I must be talked to
The house that lurches out with flames,
I am forced to walk through.

Oh Lord, why this punishment?
Am I asking for more?
Do you think another stake
Will make my poor heart pure?

Tomorrow is my waterloo
How will the battle end?
I'm not sure what side I'm on
On the Seine or on the Thames

I've fought the battles lost the wars,
I thought I had come home
I guess there's another plan
Over another Rubicon to Rome

What's another battle scar
Written across my chest?
somewhere deep in my soul,
I know that you know best

Tomorrow is my waterloo
How will the battle end?
I'm not sure what side I'm on
On the Seine or on the Thames

Why look out?
Why find out?
Just sit it out
Let me out!

How will this battle end?
How will this battle end?
Tomorrow is my waterloo
How will the battle end?
I'm not sure what side I'm on
On the Seine or on the Thames
