The Orthodox Church, or Eastern Orthodoxy, upholds the Sabbath. Not in the manner of the Rabbinic Jews, as St Ignatius says, nor in the manner of Hebrew Roots or Seventh-Day Adventists. These are all restorationist movements that are cut off from the Apostles. Orthodoxy has held onto observing the Sabbath in a *Christian* manner since the beginning of the New Covenant, in fulfillment of the Old. Citations included from Spain to Asia Minor, to southern India, and central China.
