"Who Is Sophia? Elected in 2021, I sit as an Independent in WA’s Legislative Council (the Upper House). I was born in the Netherlands, spent time in South Africa, but have now found a home in Western Australia. I have qualifications in nursing and traditional Chinese medicine, working in the health care world before entering politics.
My priorities in Parliament include improved health care, addressing homelessness and domestic violence, caring for WA’s unique environment, and promoting regenerative agriculture."
