COVID Vaxxed May Be Ineligible To Give Blood, Says Red Cross
The Red Cross and other blood donation organizations have had specific guidelines regarding eligibility for blood donation, particularly around COVID-19 vaccinations. These guidelines have evolved over time, and in the past, there were certain restrictions for people who had received the COVID-19 vaccine, particularly in the early days of the vaccination rollouts.
For example, some people who received certain COVID-19 vaccines were asked to wait for a period before donating blood, as there was uncertainty about the effects of the vaccines on blood donation.
It's important to check with your local Red Cross or blood donation center for the most up-to-date information. Blood donation policies can vary by region and may change in response to new health data or evolving guidelines from health authorities.
