Chocolate Mousse Recipe by Chef Mehboob on Food Fusion
Chef Mehboob Khan has shared a delightful Chocolate Mousse recipe on Food Fusion. This rich and creamy dessert is perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings.
**Ingredients:**
- **Gelatin powder:** 1 tablespoon
- **Water:** 3-4 tablespoons
- **Eggs:** 6 (room temperature)
- **Caster sugar:** 1½ tablespoons
- **Vanilla essence:** 1 teaspoon
- **Olper's cream:** 200 ml
- **Milk chocolate (melted):** 250 grams
- **White chocolate (melted):** 250 grams
- **Dark chocolate:** for garnish
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare Gelatin:**
- In a bowl, mix gelatin powder with water and let it soak for 4-5 minutes.
2. **Separate Eggs:**
- Separate egg yolks from egg whites into different bowls.
3. **Whip Egg Whites:**
- Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add caster sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
4. **Beat Egg Yolks:**
- In another bowl, beat egg yolks until they lighten in color.
- Add the soaked gelatin to the egg yolks and beat well.
5. **Combine Mixtures:**
- Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites.
- Add vanilla essence, cream, melted milk chocolate, and melted white chocolate. Mix until well combined.
6. **Set the Mousse:**
- Pour the mousse mixture into serving cups.
- Refrigerate for 4-6 hours to set.
7. **Serve:**
- Garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
