Lumber River Canoe Club uses Facebook primarily to post photos after club trips. We use groups.io to announce scheduled paddles.
If you would like to join the club and/or get email notifications of upcoming paddles do the following:

Create an account on groups.io using the email address at which you wish to receive notifications.
Search for "lumberrivercanoeclub" on groups.io
Join or ask to join the club page (lumberrivercanoeclub)
Once you have been approved, you should begin receiving emails about paddles. You will receive these emails at the email address you entered when you joined groups.io. You don't have to revisit the club's page on groups.io nor the groups.io page at all. Emails will automatically be forwarded to the email address with which you registered.
