April Ryan Feels WH Retaliatory Feeling Against Her Is Because She's Black

“It’s about transparency. And do we get answers? We get the answers that they want to give us. It may not necessarily be the truth. It could be spin,” Ryan elaborated. “So it’s a time for us to use critical thinking and really see what’s going on because we are at a critical time. We’re at a time of crisis, political crisis. We’re at a national security crisis. There’s so much on the table, but this president smiles and acts like it’s okay and it’s not.”

Noah then mentioned how the mainstream press has had a “white male-dominated skew” and told Ryan that she has a “unique position” as a black woman.

“Do you think that maybe some of their retaliatory feeling towards you is that it feels like you’re doing something that is oppositional because you are a black woman?” Noah asked.

“‘It feels like’… hmmm…” Ryan responded. “I would say if you can taste it, smell it, touch it, it is what it is.”
