The Tremendous Power of the Tongue

You were created to live a blessed life.

All throughout the Bible, even starting in Genesis when God commanded Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it, we see that God intended for us to live a blessed life!

But sin entered the world and messed that all up.

The whole reason why Christ came to earth, died on the cross, and rose the third day was to redeem us and to restore us to the blessed life.

But we all face a very real enemy

The devil temped Jesus in every area of the 3 root sins: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

Jesus defeated the devil by the words of His mouth. He said, "It is written", declaring who He is, declaring His true identity, and countering temptation with the truth.

By this, Jesus gave us a lesson about the most ⁠powerful weapons in our arsenal. The blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21
