Yah Yehovah! (Soft) - Worship Music Video

Yah is the shortened form for the Divine Name YHVH pronounced Ye-ho-VAH (accent on the last syllable). Yah combines the first letter of the first syllable Yeho-, with the last syllable -aH.

Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH,
And rejoice before Him.

While Yah is a substitute for Yehovah, there are two instances where they are printed together. Isaiah used YAH YEHOVAH in order to emphasize God’s STRENGTH.

This became my inspiration to write a song with both YAH YEHOVAH together. Here are the two occurrences of YAH YEHOVAH together.

Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
'For YAH, YEHOVAH, is my
strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.'

- Isaiah 12:2

Trust in YEHOVAH forever,
For in YAH, YEHOVAH, is
everlasting strength.

- Isaiah 26:4
