The cost of milk from New York farmers is $25.60 per hundredweight

USDA has published the "Monthly Milk Production Report".This report provides data for the Northeast region. The states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Specifically, the report notes: "Milk production in New York during November 2024 totaled 1.30 billion pounds, up 1.2 percent from November 2023. The average milk price received by New York farmers in October 2024, at $25.60 per hundredweight, is $0.30 lower than September 2024 but $2.00 higher than October a year ago."

New York State led in milk production during the reporting period. At the same time, Vermont was the outsider.

But the price of milk in New York State was average for the region. The lowest average price for milk was in Pennsylvania.
