From Mercury to Apollo, Part 1 | A.Nikitin

Currently, there are two main versions regarding the American moon landings. The first states that American military pilots didn’t go all the way to the Moon but stopped short in Earth orbit. In recent years, another version has been gaining more popularity. It boils down to the claim that the Americans had nothing. They did not have a functioning Apollo spacecraft, which could not even reach low Earth orbit, and they didn’t have powerful rockets capable of launching any decent payload into low Earth orbit at that time. Who’s right, and who’s wrong? We will try to understand this in this and the upcoming episodes.
