Colorado voters asked to remove slavery reference from state constitution

For the second time in as many years, a campaign is underway to remove a reference to slavery from Colorado’s state constitution. Right now it says, “There shall never be, in this state, either slavery or involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime.” Supporters of Amendment A want that exception removed.
