From Martin Luther King Jr.'s Dream to DEI's Divide: Pickering chooses DEI over Common Sense

At the May 6th 2024 Executive Meeting, I stood alone in opposing the forced implementation of divisive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies in Pickering, cautioning against their inefficiency and harmful effects. Now, as global corporations abandon DEI for its failure to foster unity and merit, my concerns are validated. While others pushed for these costly initiatives, I remain committed to fiscal responsibility, fairness, and addressing real issues like homelessness, infrastructure, and public safety. It’s time Pickering focuses on serving its residents—not ideological agendas. Let’s prioritize unity, merit, and practical governance over divisive policies.
