Cashmore was approximately the same age as me but didn’t attend the same school. His parents ran the Rendezvous Cafe in Alton high street. We met on 3 occasions and every encounter resulted in a punch-up...and he slaughtered me on each occasion. Life can be so cruel, can’t it?
