Cincinnati Chamber officials say they’re hoping between 30,000 and 50.000 people ride the SkyStar between now and Dec.2 when the temporary attraction closes. Mindy Rosen, who was first in line Saturday, said she hopes the SkyStar draws more people to The Banks to enjoy the attractions already there. “It’s one more reason to visit downtown, The Banks. Many amenities down here - the carousel, the Freedom Center, the great restaurants," Rosen said. "There’s a huge line outside the taco restaurant right now. How fun to have one more fun thing to do. Another piece of entertainment for downtown. The views will be spectacular.”
