Commissioner Davis defends actions in first televised interview since IRB report released
Following the release of the Independent Review Board's report about the police response and subsequent investigation into the death of Detective Sean Suiter, former Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis found himself back in the news. The board levied several criticisms against Davis, his handling of the investigation, and some of his public statements regarding Suiter's death. Davis has kept a low profile since his dismissal from the department in January. But he sat down with WMAR's 2 News Investigative Reporter Brian Kuebler to discuss the IRB's report. Davis defended himself against some accusations he felt were unfair, owned some criticism that was reasonable, and brought up his own lingering questions that surround this mysterious line of duty death.
