Authentic Persian Ghormeh Sabzi with A simple traditional trick
Save this recipe if you want to end up making a royal and authentic Ghormeh Sabzi
ingredients:
Lamb 300g (either shoulder or shanks)
Ghormeh Sabzi Vegetables (fenugreek, parsley, coriander, chives) 400g finely chopped
Red kidney beans 1 can or 150g
Dried lime 5 pcs (Limoo Amani)
Spices: turmeric powder, black pepper powder, garlic powder
Boiling water 4 glasses
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Fresh lemon juice as per your taste
Salt
The Trick:
Herbs (dried parsley, dried coriander, dried fenugreek) - 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses - 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
If you would like to use raw red kidney bean, let them soak overnight and add them at the time of adding meat to cook along with the meat.
Gormeh Sabzi other tricks:
1- heat to be always medium it has to always simmer and not boil.
2- do not add to much water otherwise it won’t look rich
3- and adding the dried herbs mentioned above
