The War of the Worlds 1934 Special Feature 003 - Outtake 01

So this Tripod scene was originally made to feature in "At the Window", but after deliberation, it was cut. The location I was creating (which was based upon or inspired by the description from the study window in H G Wells book) seemed too different to the inner city locations of Birmingham, where the story was headed next.

If you've watched the live stream, you may have already seen this.

Anyway, it pained me to leave it out, but I hope you enjoy it as simply a random view of what was happening in some location in England during the attack, possibly Woking.

On a personal note, I just love the image of these massive machines casually walking through the countryside firing their heatray at distant targets, as the viewer can only watch in disbelief. It's a fun scene.
