Repost: Five Years Ago Yesterday - Della Came Home for the Day

The Day was January 18th 2020 and out of my kitchen window, I saw a car pull up. Right across the street. The house had been empty for months since Della had reluctantly agreed to go into assisted living after the passing of her husband Jack in the summer of 2019. I saw a tall bald headed guy and next to him getting out of the car I saw a woman with a white curly mop of hair and I suspected I knew what was up. Della decided to play hookie from her place and her fella would do the driving. She worked in schools for many years until she retired so she knows the rules. The great escape indeed. My heart pounded and I could not stop smiling. All plans I had ended for the day. We came together for her, I called my folks and told them to come down and were going to celebrate the day. I broke out the remote controlled sailboats, RC airplane and my drone and that is the story behind this little movie. To the friends and family who didn't see this video when it was originally created several years ago, I watched it again yesterday. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend her funeral yesterday and I was anxious as the 11:00am service approached and I wasn't there. I was making the movie that was EXACTLY 5 YEARS AGO TO THE DAY! The Almighty works in mysterious ways and I gave up trying to understand His ways. I plan to make the 500+ mile pilgrimage to their graves soon and pay my respects when I can.
