John Voight Talks About Plans as an Ambassador to Hollywood

Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight spoke to The Gateway Pundit on Saturday about his appointment to serve as Trump’s ambassador to Hollywood to fix the American film industry and foster a new Golden Age.

Voight delivered remarks at America Mission’s Patriot Award Luncheon alongside Steve Bannon, Vivek Ramaswamy, James O’Keefe, Scott Presler, Corey Compretore’s family, and others.

Voight said he looks to bring Hollywood back to telling good stories with common sense and morality, as opposed to the woke garbage we see today on the big screen.

What a breathe of fresh air. This comes after Hollywood has faltered in recent years to bring forth movies that promote the values of a vast majority of Americans.

Voight: This is an extraordinary time. This is the answer to many prayers and a lot of hard work by a lot of people. You know, you have to list so many heroes in this past election who came forth; your group is one of them.

Conradson: President Trump has tapped you to be an ambassador to Hollywood, along with Mel Gibson, and I want to know what are your plans to restore Hollywood?

Voight: Well, I've just been given that title, you know, but I think it's a good idea that we take a good look at ourselves and see if we can fix it a little bit so. And I think that, you know, many things, and many areas; one is the financial area. They just have not been successful these past few years, and they're all, you know, concerned about how to go forward. So, I think that. I think Mel is very bright, Sly, very smart, and we all have a lot of experience but the real, you know, the real blessing, is Donald Trump at the other end of it, saying, “What can we do?” So that’ll help.

Conradson: I know you've done a lot of praying for President Trump and for our country over the last four years. Is that what Hollywood needs? Does it need a restore of God, a revival of Christian principals?

Voight: Well, it needs to get back to good stories. It needs to get back to common sense and good stories and morality. We can find it again. That's it. We need to find ourselves again.
