A street survey was conducted among Swedish citizens about whether they agreed with opening their doors to refugees from other countries and if they would welcome them into their homes. 100% said yes without hesitation. However, when given the opportunity to host an African refugee, 100% came up with countless excuses to avoid doing so. They claimed they didn't have space or that the only available room in their homes was already rented out. They were then offered the option to exchange phone numbers so the refugee could contact them in the future, and surprise! None of the respondents were willing to share their contact information.
