HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The Battle of Bosworth Fields was the last decisive conflict of the War of the Roses in the 15th century. It occurred on the 22nd of August (so, not snowing) 1485. The three armies were that of King Richard III of York, HenryTudor of the Lancaster's, and a third army of Lord Stanley who withheld his troops until the climax of the battle, where he decisively crushed Richards armies. Henry, prudent as ever, soon after married into the house of York, joining the red and white rose forming the Tudor rose that we know today, which ended the civil war.
