TENANTS OF THE STATE
As Americans, you can never own real property.

Our great grandfathers and distant forebears suffered from the draconian influences of Great Britain. The king assessed property taxes, payable under penalty of forfeiture of lands. We were oppressed by many a tax and levy and finally, when things became unbearable, we revolted and drove the oppressor from our land.

The spirit of revolution runs deep in the hearts and minds of true Americans. Abominable acts and laws will not be tolerated for ever. Now, many of you listening right now can just tune out because you are NOT among those who would revolt or even complain. No, you are the dead-between-the-ears cowards and lazy bastards who have gotten us into the pickle we’re in now.

I’m talking about property tax. We still pay property taxes, and the government still punishes non-payment with forfeiture of lands and property. We can never be true property owners in this country as long as the government extracts money from us every year of our lives. Until the onerous practice of taxing our properties in perpetuity has left us all as “Tenants of the State.”

Julia Sanger, aged 81, was tossed from her home in Utah because she had not paid property taxes in nearly 3 years. Unable to raise the money, she lost her 16-acre-property to the government. Her home was boarded up, goods piled up in the driveway, and her dream of dying in her home was dashed on the rocks of government corruption.

5 generations of family life on this piece of land came to a close as her property was confiscated and auctioned off by the County.
The State got their piece of the Sanger pie as well.

How in Hell can you people sit back and take it in the @ss again and again, month after month after year and forever? I guess you’ve just about said my piece, and quite a piece it has been. I pay property taxes as do all of you. I bitch about it at every opportunity as I am doing right now. I lobby my legislators and have laid my case before the corrupt person of Brad Little, the “Boss Hog” governor of Idaho. This is the same guy who endorses our 6% tax on groceries and over-the-counter medication and medical supplies.

Maybe it’s not doing any good, maybe it one day will. Until then I’ll keep on doing what I do and you can keep on doing whatever the Hell it is you’re doing. Guess what? Whatever it is you’re doing is NOT working!
