Senate Advances Laken Riley Act with Final Passage Expected Monday

The Senate voted to end debate Friday for the Laken Riley Act with final passage expected Monday. The Laken Riley Act will require the detention of illegal immigrants charged with theft or burglary. All 53 Republican senators voted for the bill along with 10 Democrats.
