The Shocking Reason Fans Want Errol Spence To Hang Up His Gloves

Mike Coppinger broke the news via X that the Sebastian Fundora -Errol Spence fight has been canceled. The fight was originally planned for October 2024 but was rescheduled for March 29th.

Errol Spence hasn't fought in 18 months since July 29th, 2023. Sebastian Fundora hasn't fought since March of 2024. When you look at the PBC roster as a whole, there's a lot of inactivity.

After suffering his first loss, many fans are wondering if Errol Spence will continue to fight. It wasn't the fact that he lost; it was the way he lost to Terence Crawford.

Since then, the PBC has lost its deal with Showtime. Showtime leaving boxing left the PBC with no money. Errol Spence jumped in the ring after Fundora beat Tim Tszyu, saying he wanted to fight Fundora next.

However, many fans thought that was a dangerous fight for Errol. Fundora is no walk in the park. Sources say the money is not there for this fight. Errol Spence wants to get paid handsomely, and so does Fundora.

The WBO confirmed they will not sanction this fight between Spence and Fundora. By Spence being out of the ring so long, fans are starting to wonder if Errol Spence is damaged goods.

Many want Errol to have a tune fight to see where he's t physically. If Errol isn't right, many say he should retire. If Errol wants to fight again, I would rather he fight a tune-up first.

If he isn't right physically, he should retire. Rick Glaser said months ago this fight would not happen. When Rick said it, some people thought he was being a hater.
