Seconds before this video was filmed. One Killer Whale decided to try surfing on a wave. The huge hulk and mass of the black and white whale surfaced on the face of a medium sized wave, only metres from rocks and in close vicinity to surfers. The Killer Whale seemed to understand what the surfers were doing, and wanted to join in on the fun of being a surfer.

This video was filmed a few seconds after the Killer Whale had finished surfing. Watch as the huge dorsal fin of the Killer Whale surfaces only metres away from a stunned surfer paddling by. It all happened so fast!

There was a pod of three Killer Whale, and they soon headed away towards the beach-break and harbour, passing more surfers on their way.

It was incredible to watch the power of these Killer Whale, and their friendly encounter with humans.
