Things look bleak for Rab on the cancer ward. The doctor is totally pessimistic and the persistent attention of the chaplain gets on his nerves. Back in Govan his 'mates' are already planning his funeral. However, when Rab sings 'I Will Survive' he means it and, due to a misdiagnosis, he is eventually back in the pub,watching all hell break loose as Gash and Jamesie start a fight. As he tells Mary, "Nothing's changed."
