Dr. Majed Al-Ansari says ‘Trump factor’ changed the dynamic of Israel-Hamas negotiations

Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, advisor to the Qatari Prime Minister and spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says Qatar believes in President-elect Donald Trump’s determination to create peace. Dr. Al-Ansari also details how the negotiating dynamic between Israel and Hamas changed the moment Trump declared “I want this done now” in official statements. “We saw, especially from the Israeli side, a different dynamic in the negotiations. We saw both sides engaging more fluently in the decisions and obviously when Mr. Witkoff came here to the region, that was a big push towards ending this war, a big push towards reaching this ceasefire,” he says.
