Victim's neighbor testifies in Shayna Hubers retrial

A Colerain Township police officer in 2017 stole medication from a home in the township "while there on official business," according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested on Thursday. A Clermont County man is in jail after requesting a meeting with the sheriff to show off explosives that were inside his vehicle, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office. Nikki Carnes, who lived one floor below Poston, testified Friday morning in Hubers' retrial. She said she knew Hubers because she was often around the Highland Meadows Condominiums complex. One day in the summer of 2012, Hubers came to her door very upset. "She said she gad gotten into an argument with Ryan and he picked her up and threw her down in the hallway, out of his condo," Carnes said. The defense is trying to convince jurors that Hubers shot Poston in self defense.
