9-Year-Old Swimmer Makes A Splash With Her Book

She swims like  fish. Maybe better than a fish. One thing's for sure, 9-Year Old Lucy Alessi is wild about the water. She says "I just like swimming. I started it at four months I think."  Swimming, going to meets and competing has been a big part of Lucy's life, so she decided to put her story down on paper. Her book is called BRB I Need To Go To Swim Practice-A Girls Guide To Competition, Confidence And Fun Through Swimming. Lucy's Dad Derek says his daughter's story is a really good one with some great lessons for little girls adding "also some smaller stories along the way giving girls confidence, ant-bullying techniques-also showing that swimming can be more than a life lesson-it can be a heck of a lot of fun."
