In the heart of Rajasthan lies the desolate village of Kuldhara, shrouded in silence and mystery. Centuries ago, it was a thriving settlement of Paliwal Brahmins, known for their wealth and wisdom. But their peaceful existence came to an abrupt end when the ruthless Diwan of Jaisalmer, Salim Singh, set his eyes on the village.

The Diwan demanded an enormous tax and sought to marry the chief’s daughter against her will. The Brahmins, valuing their honor and dignity, held a secret council. That night, they made a harrowing decision: they would abandon their beloved home.

Before leaving, the villagers gathered at the temple of their deity and cursed the land, vowing that no one would ever thrive there again. By dawn, the entire village vanished, leaving behind only empty homes and the chilling weight of their curse.

Since that day, Kuldhara has remained abandoned. Stories of supernatural occurrences and eerie whispers haunt those who visit after dark. Despite numerous attempts, no one has managed to settle in the cursed land. The temple stands as a silent witness to a community’s defiance and their tragic farewell.

Would you dare to visit Kuldhara after sunset? 🌙
