NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast

On Wednesday high pressure brought us our first day of the month with afternoon dew points in the 40s & 50s......very comfortable. We also had blue skies....a break from the smoky conditions we've been seeing for weeks. Tonight will be comfortable again with lows in the low 50s if you feel like cracking open the windows. Normally colder spots will be in the 40s. Thursday also will have plenty of sunshine and highs in the low-80s. Clouds & showers return on Friday and Friday night. With clouds & the chance of rain.....temps will be running about 10° below normal in the 60s to around 70°. Most of this activity should be out of here by Saturday morning, then the humidity cranks back up with a chance of a thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon again. Highs will be in the mid/upper 80s on Sunday. Heat & humidity will impact out area next week. We will also have the chance for on/off storms. Any storms that do develop could be strong to severe with heavy rain.
