National Socialist Gun Control - Myth or Reality?

A video from YouTuber "Zoomer Historian" recently came across my feed which alleged that the common talking point comparing gun control and gun confiscation policies to Nazi Germany are unfounded.

He goes through the gun laws put in place during the Weimar Republic due to the Treaty of Versailles. Over time, these laws relax, and under Nazi rule, they are further reduced, but only for certain people. Other groups face harsher laws and restrictions.

I go through his argument and assess it on its merits, which given the disarmament of anyone the government found to be untrustworthy, is on shaky ground.
