Are Baptists Really a Product of the Reformation? Let’s Talk History!

History can be tricky—it’s often more art than science. We rely on archeology, anthropology, and written records, but every historian brings personal bias to the table. When it comes to the origins of Baptists, there are at least four major views. While some Baptists do trace their heritage back to the Reformation, others—including myself—believe true Baptists have never aligned with Rome or Protestantism.
