Family escapes injury when car barrels into St. Lucie County home

A St. Lucie County family somehow escaped serious injury when a vehicle slammed into their home Monday night. The impact jolted them awake when the car went into the living room just after 10:30 and missed a father asleep on the couch. The crash happened in the 500 block Twylite Terrace.
