Shawnee police clear scene after 7-hour standoff

Shawnee police have cleared the scene near the 6500 block of Cottonwood Drive after a standoff that lasted about seven hours. Shawnee Police had been there since 11:10 p.m. Monday night. Police said they were investigating a pending disturbance in which a person inside a home refused to comply with officers.
