Joe Penland: Federal debt crisis demands immediate action from Congress

Texas businessman Joe Penland says the incoming Trump administration has a mandate to stop overspending and cut the federal budget. “Any good business, any company, if they’re too fat they trim it back. And that’s what we need to do as a government,” he argues. “And if we do, we’ll show the taxpayers that we’re going to save their money and put it back to them, hopefully in Social Security and Medicare.”
