Los Angeles braces for ‘explosive fire growth’ as high winds near.

Three wildfires are still burning in the LA area - the largest, the Palisades Fire, is just 14% contained.

LA City mayor Karen Bass said "urgent preparations" are being made, with close to hurricane-force winds forecast which could spark new fires across the region.

US President Joe Biden said he is "deeply saddened by the devastation" caused by the ongoing wildfires across Los Angeles.
