EB I-696 traffic shift to newly-rebuilt WB lanes postponed due to weather

The road closure scheduled for Monday in preparation for repaving eastbound I-696 between I-75 and I-94 has been postponed due to weather, a spokeswoman for MDOT says.  However, there will be concrete cutting occurring on some eastbound lanes, resulting in partial lane closures. Various lanes will be closed off and on throughout Monday night while concrete cutting is happening. The scheduled road closure will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 21, weather permitting.
